As a 44-year-old, this is the first time I felt going from impossible to possible. I'm an IT graduate with some HTML knowledge from college, but after graduating and building my consulting career, I handed all that to my lecturers. My passion had been buried deep.
For years, I felt like I could never build something professional again. The gap was too big — 25 years of outdated knowledge. But then came the AI era.
The Turning Point
Using AI tools, I successfully built my own website. Something changed in my life. I managed to create cjstudio.site through research, findings, and with CJ Studio's AI agent help.
This blog shares my journey — the struggles, the steps, and how AI helped me build a professional site when I thought it was impossible.
The Key Challenges I Faced
1. Hosting & Domain
Q: Where do I host my website? Do I need a domain name?
A: At first, I hesitated between free hosts like Blogger or WordPress. But since I needed a playground for n8n and OpenClaw, I decided to get my own VPS.
2. Design Struggles
After getting the VPS, I installed WordPress and tried Elementor and Blocksy. But months later, I still couldn't set up my page. The tools were powerful, but I didn't know how I wanted it to look.
I'm the type who wants everything perfect. That held me back.
How I Solved It — Using AI
Here's my advice:
First, visit 1-2 websites that match your style preference. Color and design compatibility matter more than quantity.
Then, feed this to LLM AI. Explain your bad experiences, share the reference links, and ask for the best approach.
I prompted Claude.ai with: Content needs (About me, Contact, Services, Blog), Design preference (Dark and light theme), Platform requirements, Integration needs.
The Solution
LLM helped me choose Ghost as my publishing platform. AI provided the initial design, and after a few feedback rounds, we got this result. Not perfect, but it meets my expectations.

Setup & Execution
Once the design was done, it was time to build. I didn't know how to set up Ghost on VPS, so I asked AI. Within an hour, with AI help, everything was up and running.
Subdomains & Other Tools
Once your main domain links to your site, you can build landing pages or connect apps via subdomains. Example: n8n.yourdomain.com for automation, wiki.yourdomain.com for knowledge base.
Final Thoughts
Building a personal website in 1-2 days is possible. The biggest challenge isn't technical — it's knowing what you want your page to look like. Once you have a solid design framework, execution becomes easy.
This article is for those who think they can't build something professional. With AI help, you definitely can.
